I'm Baaaackkkkk!

I'm Here, all. And, I'm trying to catch up reading everyone's blogs. I've started down my list, and if I haven't made it to your blog yet, I will today or this evening. Although, I am commenting mostly on the most recent post, I read all that I have missed. I had wanted to read them all before posting myself because that's just how I am. I love to read comments on my blog. However, I love to comment more on yours. :-) But, since I'm being asked if I still exists and whatnot, I decided to write a quickie post.

Although, I've been missing for a while, my workouts have gone well. I just hope that I start seeing some of the work payoff with some improvement. If you want details (which I highly doubt you do), you can always check out my training log. Quick breakdown of my days since I last posted.

tue 4/22 - Run 3.5 miles
today - swim 1000yds (drills)

Wow, can't believe I have posted in THAT long. Anyway.......

The proudest moment of the above is my longest swim to date on Monday evening around 7:30pm. I wanted to go beyond the 2000yds I've been doing recently, and I wanted to see if I could do the Half-Ironman distance swim and Yep, I did it. 2300yds (1.3 miles). I was stoked and tired when I got home. So much so, my run yesterday reflected how tired my body was from the evening before.

So, as you can see - I'm still training for Clemson Sprint and can't believe it's just over 2 wks away. I have maybe 2 bricks, 2 swims and 1 more run scheduled this week, and a run and ride this weekend (~30 miles), then taper a little next week.

I tell ya, it's been hard lately to get everything I need to do in a schedule. I've had a rough time with this class. It is, by far, the most difficult class I've taken. I haven't been doing well on the quizzes. So for the last 2 wks I've had to take lots of notes as I am reading the chapters, which BTW are LONG. So, this has taken up a LOT of time, and I had to take that time from blogging.

David has Langley Pond Olympic Distance Tri this weekend and Grace and I will be the support crew and photographers. We get to finally meet Ashley, who's actually from Greenville. And, I get to meet Wes for the first time. Chris, teammate of David's and a very good guy, will be there and another Chris, whom we've recently met will be tri'ing as well. Should be a fun time!

I think that's about it for now, folks. I gotta go to some meetings then read some blogs. OH, BTW - David did buy me a wetsuit for Clemson and I tried it on. He took a goofy pic of me in it, and it sucked bad, so I'm not posting it. But, I'm so happy I have one and was shocked he bought me one. Nice hubby!

Mendy,
Thanks for the kind words in my blog. Have a great race at Clemson! Just think, if you race Murray you'll have more races under your belt this year than David. :-)
