Happy Birthday, David!

Today, my husband turns 34 (but still acts like a kid :-)! Yep, he didn't quite make it as an April fool's baby. Unfortunately, I can't put up any videos here. Something about videos not allowed while working. So, he'll have to settle for a pic of Mickey. Oh well. Happy Birthday David!

Yesterday I went for my "long" swim at lunch and from now on, I gotta find another time to do this in. It just doesn't fit into my lunch hour any longer. I started off slow, so I could get to a distance I'd be happy with and it just felt right. I felt great, even though I'm suffering from a little congestion. It just seemed to hit the spot. I am going to add 100yds each week. I did 1600yds but felt as though I could have kept going, but, time prevented me from doing so.

Swim 1600yds - 41:27 (2:35 /100yd)

I quickly picked up Grace after work, headed home, gave her a quick bath and then got on the trainer in the living room while she ate and watched Dora. I was sweating way more than usual. In the basement when we ride, we have a fan that's on us, and I didn't have that upstairs, so I know that's why I was sweating so bad. I only had time to do 30 min, then had to hop in the shower, change and grab a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before Grace and I left for our Church small group. It was great last night, as always.

Bike (trainer) 8.40 miles - 30:00 (16.8 mi/hr) (Again, I think my cateye computer is jacked up and this isn't accurate). David will have to look at it and see if it's hosed up. I am thinking of getting another one just because I've had so many issues lately.

Well, that's about it for now. Today, I have a run scheduled for after work, somewhere around 4 or 5 miles. Hope you all have a great hump day! I'm still trying to catch up on blogs and now I have a meeting to go to. Blah....

ta-ta and don't forget to pop on over to my Hubby's blog and wish him a Happy Birthday!

You are the queen of squeezing in a workout under time constraints. I can get so easily deterred. I need to take a lesson from you determination. Great work!

Happy b-day to David! 34, man, he must remember the days when saber-toothed tigers roamed the earth!

Good job on your workouts!

I was thinkign the same thing as Nancy. You are such a good role model for getting in all your workouts. You never make excuses - and you have quite a fullfilled busy life!

I got your comment on the race. Do you want to do it the weekend before or sometime earlier in the week? That's always an option. I hear the race director is very lenient. :D

Its awesome you never make excuses to get your stuff all in.

I"m thinking its the military background there.

Way to add some every week.

Looks like we both have our plates pretty full!

Wouldn't it be nice to get paid for our *extra* work too!!?!?! :o)

I can't make my workouts fit in a lunch hour either. That's why I try to do things before work. That's not always easy with kids' schedules. sigh.

Best wishes on your run after work!!

You are working so hard with all your training, and it will surely show for you at Clemson! You make me want to train harder, and I love ya 4 it. I will get in the pool today.

So how was your run? What a nice day to tackle some miles.

Cooper Bridge should be a blast this weekend.

Great seeing you both yesterday.

Oh my, I thought he was in his 80's. He is a young one. Glad he is back and you are able to spend his birthday with him.

I read your post yesterday and because of you I didn't bail on my workout. It would have been easy to just "not" do it....

but I hit the gym and did my 35 min on the elliptical

thanks!!

(but I bailed today) *giggle*
