A little bodyglide? maybe....

Yesterday during our cold and rainy late afternoon, I chose to go to the gym for my scheduled cross-training. I didn't swim, like I had hoped, but I did get in some time on the elliptical and got some reading done at the same time. Great multitasking workout.

Monday - Elliptical 40 min/3.19 miles/352 cal

Tuesday - Run 3 miles Today for lunch, I had 3 miles scheduled. I have to do this run at lunch, because we have our Church small group get together on Tuesday nights. David decided to run as well, and we had 10mph winds against us on the way to our normal loop route. Half way through the run, I noticed some burning on my inner thighs and you guessed it, I was chafed - bad. I didn't break skin like I did the last time I chafed, but it's very red, sore, and burning when I walk. I guess the cold wind, and my short shorts were the right combination to bring the pain. Anyway, I just hope it's better by Thursday, as I have 7 miles to run. Even with the wind, and chafed area - I had a faster run than my 3 miler last week.

I'll use the bodyglide next time.

I lost my Body Glide and don't want to rebuy it darn it. I really could have used it for my 10 miler. I had that chafing burn, it's so awful. Great job getting your 3 miles in!

I could tell you weren't super happy at the end. It was a challenging run, with the multiple hills and steady wind. Glad you did it, but it sucks you have a residual. Maybe some undershorts for the winter?

That sucks and it's surprising you got in that short distance, but new factors (like shorts and the weather) can throw ya.

What is wrong with your husband that he can't glide you up before a run????

I hope it feels better before tomorrow's run. Yuck.

Hmm, I have never tried any sort of body glide, but there have been a few times that I could have used it... after the fact!

Hey, we're abstaining from that! Besides, it tires us out from the runs.

uh ohh, TMI? ;-)

Ah yes, chaffing, the joys of running. :)

Good luck on your upcoming 7 miler. Hopefully the weather will be a bit better.
