Rehearsing...
Last night, I headed to Church for our First Wednesday service, but instead of a normal service, it was a concert with Half Past Forever. I got there a little early, and hung out in the back while they rehearsed with Amy and her newborn (ahhh....). They did a fantastic job starting out with their own music, off their CD, then half way into the show - Chris and band switched over to some worship music we sing regularly. It was a nice time reflect on what God has done in my life, and how thankful I am to have my faith. Chris sings Amazing Grace like none other. It is beautiful. They also sang "In a Moment" which I have on my nano and hear often while running. If you haven't heard it, it's worth listening to. They ended the concert with a couple more songs from the album, then Chris met fans signed CD's. Chris was definitely in his element last night, cracking jokes, and being himself and back in his Church.
My friend, Lenna and I walked out together, and I headed home, enjoying the beautiful weather with the top down on the bat mobile. I got home to hear what I love to hear when I walk in the door - "Mommy's home, mommy's home" with little feet running as fast as her legs can push coming my way. Grace was in such a cute, good mood. What a way to end the day!

Nice, nice job on the swimming. If you seen my comments on Neese's blog, you know I like to spout useless advice, but every one in a while, I'm the blind squirrel that finds a nut :-) I bought the book, "Total Immersion", and without even doing the drills (much), but incorporating the ideas, it has improved my swimming immmensely. I went from like 20+ strokes per length to 13-15.

Wow. Sounds like such a great night. Nothing better than being welcomed home by your child. I can see grace doing it right now. What a cutie!!
Is it just me or does the singer/lead guitarist look like Ozzy Osborne's son. Just an observation.

That really sounds like a great night ! ! Great photos as well. Thank you for sharing. I agree with Robin....that must have really been a great feeling having Grace welcome you home. I can see her running toward you with that patented "smile on her face".
