some kind o'sick

I have no idea what is wrong with me but I've been sick since Monday morning. Feeling nausea constantly but not vomiting at all, feeling very week and my tummy rumbles constantly. It's totally taken me out of any idea of exercising, and basically getting up the stairs at work has been a struggle. I feel that whatever I caught, I'm finally getting over it. I got a much needed rest this afternoon - just sitting around on the couch not doing a thang and hit the sack early last night. I hope to start working out to some extent tomorrow.

As mentioned, we took a trip to Charleston, SC for the weekend and had a great time. We relaxed, shopped, walked the market, went to the beach, hit the pool every night at the hotel, ate at some fantastic restaurants (2 of which were on Shem Creek which we LOVE and got to watch Dolphins play down the creek), and even fit in some exercise.

I got a nice 20 mile bike ride in on Sunday morning riding from Mt Pleasant to Isle of Palms over the connector, which can get a little hairy. I think they go 60 over the bridge. I'm glad the shoulder was wide. I then rode on the Island a few laps and returned. A flat route is so much different than what I'm used to, but I welcomed it.

You know I can't go on a vacation without coming back to share a lot of pictures of Grace with you so here ya go...

David & Grace swimming

Grace spitting in her goggles - go figure. Guess, they really do watch what we do. :-)

Watching the boats on Shem Creek

Wanting badly to run through it - we had to put our foot down.

But, we let her run through the Pineapple fountain.

Funny picture.

I hope the rest of my week goes a little better. I have 2 very busy days tomorrow and friday with a vendor coming in and I expect long days. I hope to start some sort of workout tomorrow too.

Hilton Head Island

This past Saturday, I was off to Hilton Head Island, SC. It's such a beautiful place, so clean, and what's so cool about HH is that there are no signs in the air, no billboards, all businesses have to follow a certain strict code with their signs and such. It is soooo clean and gorgeous! and there are soooo many bike paths all over the place, which my cousin and I explored on Sunday. This was, of course, on a nice padded seat bike, none like the one I have sitting on the trainer.

Anyway, every year 6 of us ladies in the Robertson clad go on a trip to somewhere nice, that we can drive to and take my Aunt's customized van to. First year we did this, we ended up going to Gatlinburg, TN, which we were slated to go to Charleston but hurricanes were threatening to hit. I was pregnant at the time. 2nd year, Grace and I didn't go. She was 7 mos old and they went to the Amish Country. Too far of a drive with a child that young, for me anyhow. Last year, we went to Charleston, this year, HH, and next year, we're going to Savannah, GA. So, it was a fun time! I didn't work out as much as I'd like. I did get in the pool Sat before supper for some lap swimming, and 15 min on the elliptical. We stayed in a condo right on the beach. Not bad, I'd say... :-) Grace has so much fun with us, and I really didn't take care of her that much. She really enjoys spending time with my cousin, so Angie had Grace attached to her most of the time. She'd pull away from my hand to go walk with her everywhere we went.

We had internet, but for some reason, I couldn't get my laptop to work with it. We returned last night, so tired. So, just now catching up on ya'll's blogs. Here's some pics from the weekend.

Grace watching Curious George on the way.
