some kind o'sick

I have no idea what is wrong with me but I've been sick since Monday morning. Feeling nausea constantly but not vomiting at all, feeling very week and my tummy rumbles constantly. It's totally taken me out of any idea of exercising, and basically getting up the stairs at work has been a struggle. I feel that whatever I caught, I'm finally getting over it. I got a much needed rest this afternoon - just sitting around on the couch not doing a thang and hit the sack early last night. I hope to start working out to some extent tomorrow.

As mentioned, we took a trip to Charleston, SC for the weekend and had a great time. We relaxed, shopped, walked the market, went to the beach, hit the pool every night at the hotel, ate at some fantastic restaurants (2 of which were on Shem Creek which we LOVE and got to watch Dolphins play down the creek), and even fit in some exercise.

I got a nice 20 mile bike ride in on Sunday morning riding from Mt Pleasant to Isle of Palms over the connector, which can get a little hairy. I think they go 60 over the bridge. I'm glad the shoulder was wide. I then rode on the Island a few laps and returned. A flat route is so much different than what I'm used to, but I welcomed it.

You know I can't go on a vacation without coming back to share a lot of pictures of Grace with you so here ya go...

David & Grace swimming

Grace spitting in her goggles - go figure. Guess, they really do watch what we do. :-)

Watching the boats on Shem Creek

Wanting badly to run through it - we had to put our foot down.

But, we let her run through the Pineapple fountain.

Grace with David, walking the Battery.

Funny picture.

Boone Hall Plantation

Grace in the boat shack.

I hope the rest of my week goes a little better. I have 2 very busy days tomorrow and friday with a vendor coming in and I expect long days. I hope to start some sort of workout tomorrow too.

Awesome pics. It looks and sounds like you guys had a GREAT time!

Sorry to hear that you have not been feeling too good. Being sick sicks for sure. Especially when you have training and "stuff" to do. I'm not very good at being sick and staying in the bed or on the couch, etc. (although Lisa would say that I'm pretty needy when it comes to being sick) :-)

Glad you're on the med. Get better soon! I'm looking forward to maybe riding with you guys at one of Robin's Thursday night rides.

Hope you feel better and get a run in soon, but don't worry cause traveling takes alot of energy out of you. Even though Chaton can put it in you. Shem Creek is nice and nothing but the best food. Great pics of Gracie in the local scenery. Have a good day.

Love the pictures Mendy! It was good to see you tonight, too. You look awesome! The race you were referring to must have been two years ago because my lazy and perpetually pregnant and/or nursing self hasn't trained for a race in two years! LOL! I need to get back into it.. I really love it. Oh well, one of these days. Your daughter is beautiful. She looks exactly like you and exactly like David... just precious. Take care!
