Wassup!!!!!!!!!

It's been almost a month since my last update. Wow! I almost forgot the link to "blogger". What's up with that?

All I can say is that I'm sorry. I know and understand everyone's lives are busy, so I shouldn't use that excuse, but I am anyway, so suck it up. J/k. We are on the verge of building a home and it has taken all of our spare time in the evenings, plus our sproadic workouts, and getting our own place ready for selling -- it's just been tiring.

With that said, I'm ready to actually sit down and read your blogs. I know I have several hrs ahead of me on catching up. Thanks to Lisa for getting our tails back in gear and back into the community that we adore. My intention wasn't going to be gone this long. Time just snuck away from us. Lisa, you're the best, girl!

Lots going on, so I'll quickly sum it up:
* I'm on pins and needles right now in anticipation of the Navy to release the E7 Selectees list. It's far overdue for release and there's been a ton of rumors going on as to why. The board convened over 2 wks ago. Hopefully, this week I'll know if I impressed the board enough with my charm and wit (of course, it's all on paper). :-)

* Lots going on or shall I say, will be going on shortly, at work. "Rumors" have it layoffs will happen again in the next few weeks. I am just praying I'm not affected and if so, I will deal with it. So, that said - I'm making sure I do nothing to put any spotlight on me. So, my workouts at lunch haven't been going on as much, even though I rush through it and don't take advantage of the opportunity I am given to workout. I am just blessed to have a job and want to keep it.

* My ride today had some firsts! I went out all by myself and left the house, and dealt with our local traffic without any company. I also came home and had NO grease on my legs (also a first). It went pleasantly and am starting to get really comfortable on the bike, shifting between rings when needed, climbing out of the saddle when needed and have mastered going over the many railroad tracks I have to quite flawlessly.

* I mentioned that my workouts have been sproadic, and I must admit I have somewhat lost my motivation mo-jo, but am not putting too much pressure on myself. Sometimes others things in my life take priority and I'm not going to beat myself up too much over it. This week is going to be an awesome week though. I have 2 of each disciplines planning in preparation for an upcoming tri.

* Iron Girl is this weekend and I'm super excited. My friend, Denine and I are gonna have a blast. We have been training together and are on the same level of fitness and not competitive at all so we work well together. We do push each other and it seems to go back and forth, so that works well for us.

* Viv's weightloss challeng is awesome and the fact that she has put this together is just amazing and has been a great motivator for me. I've made some healthy choices and feel I'm making progress. Thanks, Viv.

* About 2 wks ago I got to play golf for a charity event for our company and had a great time. We got to play in one of the most beautiful courses in the upstate and as embarrassing as this may be, I will share the best golf picture my teammates took that day.

Yep, that's me swinging - and yet the purty little ball is still there. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only time that happened. Apparantly, I have a great swing and nice power but if I do, in fact, hit the ball, it always goes left - even on the Wii. I do enjoy playing golf and hope that we, as a team, can have an offsite meeting every now and then, playing golf.

* Grace went to a sweet Princess Birthday party today for her best friend. All the little girls had so much fun, with games, and lots of dress-up. Grace changed dresses 5 times, as did all the others. It was fun to see. Here are the princesses! Grace is in the middle.

Well, that's about it for now ladies and gents. I hope to read some blogs tonight homies and the rest tomorrow night. I won't be reading at work tomorrow - I'm swamped with required completion on a few projects. I'll be lucky if I get to leave for my lunchtime swim session.

Iron Girl sounds like fun.

I've been through the layoff thing (this time last year). It's kind of nervewracking while waiting to see who's affected and who's not.

there you are, i was about to add to the REWARD to see if we could find you guys.

Glad to hear you're getting a house built, we did that about 6 years ago, then with Gas & what not, we actually let it go in November & it was just auctioned off last month, for 60,000- less than we paid for it. My DH’s credit score was almost 800----we’re afraid to look at it now; but we’re in a better place financially & literally.

but now we're abut 2 miles from work & with in 6 miles of each of our families.....& in a WAY better school district.

anyway......sporadic, its my word of the week. :o)

welcome back....you've been missed

GOOD LUCK on E7!!!

Glad to see you are doing well, or as can be expected with everything going on in your life. I hope that things slow down for you a bit soon. Keep up the training.
