swimming high

Obviously, yesterday was a good swim for me. I want to do 1 long swim, 1 swim with drills, and 1 speed session of swimming per week. Since I didn't go to the pool monday, I had to yesterday. I got in the pool and from the moment I started swimming, it felt good. My goal was 1100 yds (I have done a longer distance in the past, just not recently) then add an extra 100 yds each endurance swim each week. I ended up just swimming longer, and wound up completing 30 laps. I had to get back to work, or think I could have went another 250yds. It felt fantastic!

Swim - 1500yds - 37:59 (2:32 /100yd)

After work, David set out for a brick and the little lady and I hung out. She watched Dora and I started cleaning, and kept cleaning, and kept on, until around 8:30 pm. I was beat!! My body was sore, and I wanted to rest. We had just got done with supper and know I needed some green in my beginner triathlete log (green is bike miles), so I got on the trainer for 30 min. After 5 min on it, I wanted OFF.

Bike (trainer) - 7.44 mi 30:00 (14.88 mi/hr)

Today is a run at lunch, and since I have Grace all to myself for the next week, no after work workout. David flew out of town this morning for a few days.

Happy hump day folks!

You are doing great with the workouts.

Hope you have a slumber party with popcorn and movies. That's what we do when Dad is away! We also had a "date" last time. They were perfect little gentlemen. Have fun!!

So when David's gone, is it just non-stop balloons and petting zoo animals?

How did your run go?! I can't wait to hear!!! During my track workout last night, I thought about you... helped get me through some of the "head winds."

Have fun with Grace for the next few days! Awesome on the swimming Mendy, you are turning into one of those "eels" I saw at the open swim! Great job on jumping on the trainer after all that cleaning :-)

Nice job with the swim. Sitting on a trainer at the end of the day can be such a downer. Way to tough it out.

Mendy, if only I could run as fast as you we could totally "tri" together! Our trainer rides were almost identical!
