Tired

I have been heavily pre-occupied for sometime now. It was one of the busiest weeks I've had in a long time, both professionally and personally. I've had some deadlines and major projects going on at work, that I'm a major part in, had my reserve weekend, and am still trying to run - All of this plus entertaining my attitude driven toddler.

I had 4 runs this week in my training, Tuesday's run was already mentioned. It wasn't that great, but none of them have seemed "right" in a while.

Wed - 3
I didn't get up early enough for my Wednesday run of 5 miles, so I headed over to the gym after work and did 3 miles on the treadmill. It was okay. I basically traded my thur run for wed.

Thur - 5
By far, this was a better run. It felt a little cool, and not too hot yet, so it wasn't a bad run. It was also nice to get it over with. We also had the first meeting for the tri clinic. It was just a Q&A and info on what to expect the next few wks. This thur is our swimming lesson.

Friday, David and I headed down to Florence, SC for Tri the Pee Dee. We had a great time. David tells us all about the tri experience here.

After returning saturday evening, we jumped for some opportunity for a nice glass of wine, without the munchkin in tow. She was staying with Grandma all weekend, as she does for all our drill weekends. We had a nice evening supper together, then shot over to our wonderful local wine bar. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, with some other regulars, we've spent a lot of time with at NH. We all enjoy each other's company, and it's a pleasant time. We got to hear all about their recent trip to Italy. I'm so jealous! When returning home, I had homework to do, and off to night-night's, I went.

Sun - 7
Sunday was a long day at drill. I got there, not knowing they were allowing us to exercise first thing in the AM, in my dress white uniform. Well, once I found out - I was off to change into my running clothes. I had 7 miles to run, and wanted to get it done and over with. I ran the perimeter of Donaldson Center, which is exactly 7 miles. So, I did it - Did I do great? No. Did I struggle (still)? Yes. Do I feel like poo, about my running - Yea, I do. Will I do try to brave 12 saturday - Yes.

So, I'm back, and extremely exhausted, right now. It's 3:30 in the afternoon, and that's when it seems to hit me hard. I got all caught up on my buddy's blogs, and what's been going on the last week! I hope not to be gone that long again...

Til tomorrow.

Good job getting all four of those runs in with everything else going on. And yes, chasing a toddler around should be an Olympic event.

Getting four runs in is alot better than what I did, I only did 3 and 2 of those were piggy-backed on top of each other on Saturday.

A glass of wine sounds good right now, even tho I know next to nothing about wine.

(((HUGS))) Mendy NO wonder your running hasn't felt right!! Girl you are sooo damn busy!! Don't be too hard on yourself, seriously!! You have so many other things going on. Something has gotta give, KWIM? Once your schedule clears a bit I'm sure you'll be feeling better about the running :-)

I have decided that chasing kids add one run to the workout list - by Sunday night I am beat!
